Ever since Yahoo puchased Inktomi, there's been much speculation on when Yahoo would drop Google.
Here's the 1st real confirmation of a time frame.

even worse news is that Yahoo could introduce a pay model ALA looksmart.com, where you pay or you dont show up (at least for competive searches). Worse yet, is that they may or may not honor the existing Pay for Inclusion feeds that now exist at positiontech.com and others.
The upshot is: savvy searchers will move to Google and the democratic web. Others will continue to use Yahoo (and MSN) with no clue why they can no longer find their favorite websites.
