Can anyone advise, my site www.ratanasilver.com . I have paid for inclusion in Inktome and Altavista but getting absolutley no listing for the keywords i have tried to optomise it for, being "Thai Karen Silver" or "thai silver" my competitors that are getting in the first page listings don`t seem to have any kind of decent meta tag inclusion or keywords,I thought i would blow my competition out of the water, but nothing doing:(
can anyone tell me what is wrong?
Thanks :(

Hi -

How old is the site? When was included in the indexes?

Generally speaking the site looks like it should be doing fine on the surface, but - I ran a search engine sim spider on it to see what the search engines are seeing when they come to the site...
not much;
Jewelry Banner Exchange Jewelry Banner Exchange www.ShoppingThai.com -- One-stop shopping for exotic Thai products and services!

you also have conflicting meta tags -
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="INDEX,FOLLOW">
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX,FOLLOW">

Get some related sites linking to it as well...

hello,
It was indexed about 10 days ago, but i paid for inclusion so it is re-indexed every 48 hours-I checked my logs and it has been indexed about 10 times from Inktome.
Not sure why its only picking that text up.That is just a banner link right at the bottom of the page.I`ll check out that robots metatag. Not really to sure about what i`m supposed to do.
Many thanks for taking the time to look at it for me.

It is essential NOT to use any robots.txt file or meta information without knowing EXACTLY what you are doing. This can get you in many unintended predicaments.

Yes, get links. Even if you pay for inktomi inclusion you still have to have incoming links.
