Few more query:
1. How often should I submit my site?
2. Do you suggest individual page submission or just the base URL?
3. What are the optimum sizes for META Tags (say keywords, description etc.)?

You should never have to. All you need is incoming links. Maybe if your website is new you can do it once.

Just the base url. But again, it is not neccesary.

Not much value is put in the META tags. Just keep them descriptive and not too long. |

I still reccomend Arelis to manage link exchanges. However I do not reccomend its link partner finding tool nor its email templates. The best way to find new link partners is by finding out who links to your competition and just by searching for related websites. |

Check and see what those competing against you, and are beating you placement-wise in the SEs, are doing with their meta tags and where the search engines (Google) are grabbing the description from within their site. Obviously don't base your site optimization on this, it's merely one of many aspects of potentially optimizing a site. |
