using dropdown menus is a common web design practice that can condense a lot of information into one page. However, if these are created with javascript they will be unspiderable by search engines.

How do i make SE safe dropdown menus?

If the links in the menu are within the page content, they are good. generally this requires using CSS and holding the links in div containers.
