Don't waste your time on meta tags
Don't hide text

Do use pages with lots of well written text
Do use good titles
Do get related sites to link to you

These are words to live by!
Keep things simple, to the point, and avoid the 'tricks' you'll see online to 'help' your site - the SEs will love your site!
