In a rather disturbing observation, Google seems to still treat content on an authoritative site above the original content owners.

Case study: I Posted an article on my clients site, waited several months, and then submitting the exact same article to online news distribution services such as prweb. I thought that a few months would give the Google crawler enough time to establish permenence of the article.

Wrong!

1 week after the distribution, all news aggregators rank for my article, and the client is not in the top 50 results. Is this something we get to look forward to in the future - the rich getting richer?
