Comprehensive guide to what Google considers spam. This document allegedly was leaked from Google QA. Whether or not these are actual Google guidelines, it is a very useful guide to finding low quality websites.
Of note are sites having majority affiliate or borrowed content, lots of PPC links (adsense), redirects, and hidden text.

Search engines have always shouted that they hate spam, then what have they done to combat the same?
Although they formulate and implement new algorithms, but spammers have been smart enough to counter these algorithms. But, now it seems that search engines have started coloring themselves in the colors of spam.
It is the duty of the search engines to combat spam in search results, but they have started supporting spam for their own benefits. S.E shoe spam in:
- serps
- in sponsored listings
- in languages other than English. |
