The simple answer is no. You are playing with fire, and fire always wins.

One site that is big on this is fantomaster.com but i have never personally used any form of cloaking. Every experience i have had is that you are destined to be caught and blacklisted. You can get better, permanent results with a good SEO company.

I agree. You are playing with fire if you are cloaking. There definately are sites out there that havehad much success with this but not for the long run. Google will penalize your website if you use this.

I agree that cloaking is not the safest way to optimize sites in a corporate environment. However, I have seen numerous sites in multiple industries that have #1 rankings for a highly ranked search term and they are definitely cloaking.

These sites usually stay in their respective rankings for any where from 6 to 12 months. So, if you've got a product that is a money maker, why not make some money off of it. You're almost guaranteed to have a few good months with the site. ( Provided that you know how to cloak ).

Don't take this too literally! I don't really recommend cloaking, but..........?????? Sometimes people have to do what they have to do.

Well. that would be a decision the webmaster would have to make. But why not just optimize the website in an ethic way?
It still is playing with fire. Besides, you don't know if you will stay there for that long. Once you get your top ranking and your competition finds out you are cloaking...The can very well report you as a spammer to Google.
No. It really is not worth the risk in my eyes.

The effort it would require to attain a top listing would be far too difficult to justify any ROI you received from this. I know people who wish to make a quick buck online and have domain names to burn, but they always burn their cash reserves faster.

Some people like to play games with the search engines and see how long they can last without being caught. However, cloakers stand out like a penguin in the Mojave.

Cloaking is a potentially beneficial short term solution.
You'll however make no REAL money, in the short term, as you need people coming back time and again to create a stable income.

You will be caught cloaking, either by the SEs directly or someone turning you in, and the SEs will usually remove you/ban you from the index - a good way to ruin a good domain name too!

Spend the time you would waste cloaking building good content; text and content are king and with this you can create a long term successful site.

It's sometimes said cheating is faster than just doing it right. Not necesarily true - you can, if you do your homework, do it right and reap the same positive results just as quickly, but these results will last and potentially so will your income.

I love to turn in cloakers as spammers to Google and finally they are getting rid of the unsavory lot.

Serve up one page to search engines and another to the general public is cheating. In a specific industry dear to my heart, all the cloakers are dead, killed by Googleís new power algorithm.

Do the right thing and your solid on the front page of Google, cheat and get what you deserve page 300+.
